Helloooo! My name is Jennifer Lucas and I've been giving voice lessons since 2014, and I love teaching students the techniques and vast history of the jazz genre. I specialize in helping students prepare for college auditions in the jazz voice field by teaching entry level improv, jazz vocal stylings, ear training, sight singing, and basic breathing techniques. I am currently a student of the jazz voice department at Howard University, under the direction of Proffessor Connaitre Miller, and private instruction of Irene Jallenti.
I'm a firm believer in speaking things into existence, meaning if you are motivated and willing to learn you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to! So no matter what the level of experience, I hold ALL of my students to the same high standard. That being said I accept students of all ages, and skill levels. If you're ready and willing, I will do everything I can to help you along in your musical journey!
