    I am a certified teacher and an educational diagnostician. I have certification in early childhood, elementary, special education, reading specialist and ESL. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in education from Arcadia University in 2014 and graduated at the top of my class Summa Cum Laude and with departmental honors. A year later, I obtained my Master's degree in education from Arcadia with a perfect GPA. The reading program at Arcadia University is endorsed by the International Dyslexia Association. As a trained reading specialist and special needs teacher, all of my tutoring sessions are individualized to meet the student's needs. I use the Orton-Gillingham and Wilson programs to support reading instruction in a systematic and multi-sensory way. Games are included to make learning fun and to reinforce skills.

    Jennifer taught my third-grade daughter who has Dyslexia. She came to the house twice a week and used a combination of Orton-Gillingham and Wilson to teach my daughter. The combination made it possible for my daughter to work on phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension in a way that builds on my daughter's skills which gave her confidence and success. She also gave my daughter diagnostic assessments to pinpoint her struggles and periodic assessments to see her progress. She wrote up reports for myself and my daughter's teacher to further build her success. Jennifer ended every lesson with an academic game which my daughter loved so much we had to get some of them for her. Jennifer was wonderful and got my daughter to grade level and helped her to pass her EOGs. She is also very flexible and so supportive. She took interest in my daughter's likes and even came to her dance recital. You can tell she loves what she does and loves working with children.

    Jennifer is a wonderful tutor that personalizes instruction for the child. My fifth grader loved working with her and not only learned but also gained confidence and enjoyment in reading. Even though he no longer needs reading support, Jennifer continues to be in contact with us and is a reading buddy to my son. They pick a book every quarter to read outside of my son's school books and talk about it. Who has a tutor who does that?

    I am an adult student who was studying at a community college. I was looking for a tutor to help with my math but was having trouble finding someone since I have a disability. I found Jennifer and she was wonderful. She met with me twice a week for an hour each time to help me work through my lessons. She was also always available by phone or email in between lessons to help with anything I needed including motivation and support. I tutored with her for two years and officially graduated from college. Jennifer came and supported me and was more than a tutor but a friend. She is extremely caring, patient and smart.
