*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE SIGNING UP* *My Group ESL classes are designed for young ESL students, ages 5 - 11. You are welcome to join if you are an older learner at ESL 1 Level; however, please be respectful and advised that the class material, including, but not limited to, props, images, video, and audio is geared toward young ESL1 learners with little to some English speaking skills. That said, I hope to see you in class and please bring a pencil and paper! ABOUT MY LESSONS I create flexible lesson plans to meet each of my student's individual needs and learning styles. I use the knowledge that I’ve gained to improve my students' classroom experience by making my classes interesting, and enjoyable while making sure that I am reaching all of my students' various learning styles. I am dedicated to teaching my students academic reading, writing, cursive, proper grammar, high-spelling standards, and conversational English in a fun, engaging, and interactive online class. After earning my B.S. in Criminal Justice, my Post-Bachelorette's Certificate in Human Resource Management, I decided to follow my heart and go into the education field. I continued on to complete all of the Elementary Education classes at Wesleyan University, Instead of following through with student teaching for financial reasons, I decided to go directly into teaching and taught as a Substitute Teacher, a K-12 tutor, and an ESL educator. I have, since, earned my 120-Credit Hour TEFL and 40-Credit Hour TESOL Certifications in 2019. By using my experience as an educator in traditional and private K-12 classrooms, a tutor, and as an online ESL teacher, I have realized my passion for teaching students English as a second language.
