Jennifer E. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist. She has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds from working with parents and their children under the age of 3 to older adults. Jennifer's hands on teaching style coupled with her easy instruction helps people easily grasp her lessons and take more home then a general how-to; they learn how to incorporate their new ability into their life perspective, learning greater lessons of life while picking up a new skill. Jennifer has used art in her therapeutic teaching for children and adults with all developmental levels for more than ten years. Jennifer studied Psychology, Art, Biology, and Chemistry in undergrad at Florida State University. She later got her graduate degree in Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School.Show More

I have been teaching sewing for the last 10 years. Sewing is fun and when you learn the proper techniques, the possibilities are limitless. My teaching style is relaxed and I encourage creativity. We will start with a simple one hour pattern like a skirt, apron, or other simple line craft. Although personally I do not like using patterns to much, as a teaching agent it is the best way to learn and learn how to move away from the structure and get creative with your designs.
