I am a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a music degree from Berklee College of Music. My teaching experience is working with young children to adolescents teaching private lessons in voice, piano, as well as directing ensembles. I am classically trained, but I have a variety of music influences such as classic rock, jazz and folk music. I want my students to be able to learn the basic fundamentals music theory and be able to explore all kinds of genres and music styles. Jenine was able to come on short notice and help my son with his high school audition music. He said he felt very comfortable with her. She brought her sax along to show Cameron what it could sound like and so he could maybe mimic her. They worked on tempo and I heard her commenting on adding some feeling to the music with the crescendos and less of a marching sound.

I learned music by ear, and have had a very hard time trying to learn how to read music and understand theory. Jenine explained how to read music very simply, and gave me step-by-step lessons on how to practice reading it until I became fluent with it. She really helped to make sense of it. She's very patient and helpful! I highly recommend taking lessons with her!
