Hi, My name is Jen Basi; here is some information about me to help you decide. About me: I have a family with two boys and a husband. We all love travelling around the world; my favourite destination is Hawaii, and my dream when I am old is to be an old granny by the beach in Hawaii and watch the grandkids play! I want to travel to New Zealand and Australia. All my family live in the UK, and I have four sisters, one being my twin sister, who I miss dearly. About my experience: I have been teaching for a long time now! I started my teaching career in the UK, where I qualified as a science teacher and taught chemistry from 11-18 years old. After ten years of teaching in the UK, I taught in schools in the USA. My first post was being a substitute teacher at a school where Barack Obama sent his daughters before he was elected President of the United States! Currently, I am teaching at a school in Washington state. I teach the Earth and science chemistry to students. Whatever the curriculum, I have the experience to help you build a solid foundation to understand and apply chemistry. My Teaching style: There are plenty of ways to teach you and help you feel confident in Chemistry. With online, you can still learn hands-on; for example, you can use cheerios to represent atoms etc., use kitchen scales to measure the mass of different items and apply them to chemistry. What my students say: All my students tell me I care and whether that is online or in-person, you being successful and making progress are most important.
