    About Jeffrey G.

I am a freelance trombonist in the Hartford, CT area. I play with several community groups and perform some professional concerts regularly as well. Most notably, right now I am principal trombonist with the Manchester Symphony Orchestra & Chorale, 1st trombonist with Capitol Symphonic Winds at the Hartt School of Music and 2nd trombonist with the Thomaston Jazz Orchestra. In the past I have performed with the Hartford Jazz Orchestra at the Arch Street Tavern and the Danbury Brass Band. In addition to the trombone I also play tuba and euphonium. I have taught trombone and euphonium lessons since becoming a music performance student at Central Connecticut State University in 1996. I have taught students between the ages of 5 and 18 over the past twenty years, with several of my high school students qualifying for All-Regionals and All-State. I teach the solid fundamentals of low brass playing in a manner that is fun and rewarding. Most importantly I want my students to enjoy playing their instruments.
