I think the ability to evoke emotion and a connection to the audience is so important. Comedians are often a step ahead because they can instantly gauge how well they are making a connection by the laughter they produce. That's not to say this translates to good acting technique. Film acting is more about realism and being true to the character in the moment. Stage acting often requires more exaggeration to achieve similar effect. And then how we use our body in the non verbal communication of course is so important. What I am excited to do for you is to help you find that place where you begin to feel instinctively what your character does and how they do it from within. I do not teach method acting per se' but I do like to take advantage of many aspects. The worst things is when we can tell the actor is acting. But when we can arrive at being - then we begin to believe this character is real, and the journey they are on is real. I will help you find your character within, and feel what they feel and see what they see and react how they would react. And then we can add some subtle enhancements, very subtly. Until you have us captivated, and unable to look away. When you audition and begin getting small parts - let each role teach you, push you. And as you grow, the parts will get better and better.
