Learn magic from a professional stage magician

Magic isn't just a mystery or puzzle to be figured out...Its a performing art (actually one of the variety arts) that designed to entertain. But most importantly, it should be FUN: a delight to both learn & master! What type of magic would you like to perform for your friends & family? Stage or platform magic (sometimes called Parlor or Cabaret)? Mentalism or mind-reading? How about close-up magic (like cards & coins): Is that your thing? No matter what kind of magic we choose to explore, I've got whole library of teaching references & secret resources (all stowed away in my magic room) to share with you. I'm Jeff, my stage name is "Mr. Jeffo" and I specialize in entertaining children & families with my own brand of magic and storytelling. I've been performing magic as a part-time pro for decades now, starting out with birthday party shows as a teen, and working my way up to performing corporate meetings, school shows, gatherings and special events over the past 15 years. Most of all, I love magic of all types, and enjoy teaching magic to children, teens & adults. Once I have a better understanding of the magic you want to learn, rehearse, and perform, each lesson will be customized just for YOU. Got a question about your first magic lesson? Message me here to chat to get to know each other. Remember, it's not just the trick or the handling that you'll learn, but the complete routine & presentation, from start to finish. It's just like MAGIC!

Jeff P. was a Founding Advisory Committee member of the Fairfield Theatre Company (FTC) and eventually became their first Managing Director. He was the first Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Westport Country Playhouse during Joanne Woodward’s earliest seasons as Artistic Director, and held the same title at Hartford Stage during Michael Wilson’s new artistic leadership. He created and managed the subscription-driven Family Broadway Series at the “new” Oakdale Theater at the time they became the largest theatre in New England. Jeff held management positions at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre as well as Off-Broadway and on, with the 1994 Tony-award winning production of Medea, featuring Dame Diana Rigg. As an arts marketing consultant from 2005-2007, Jeff was invited to be a guest lecturer/presenter for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. After holding management positions in the non-profit arts & commercial entertainment industries for fifteen years, Jeff joined Red 7 Media in Norwalk CT. where he helped launch the Event Marketing Institute (EMI) as Member Services Director in 2007. He was named Executive Director of the Exhibit Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) in 2008. Jeff worked side-by-side with eleven association Presidents, the officers and full Board of Directors to push the growth and health of EDPA’s membership base as well as its many programs which include the EDPA Foundation, a separate not-for-profit organization. Jeff launched PRO Management LLC in late 2015 to continue the association management work of the EDPA as well as the EDPA Foundation. By all accounts (except his own) the transition was seamless. And after 60+ years, Jeff was instrumental in the official & legal name change of the association in early 2017, now known as the EXPERIENTIAL Designers & Producers Association (EDPA). He became EDPA’s Managing Director in 2019, about the same time that PRO Management started working with additional clients like the Healing NET Foundation, a physician based group of innovators specializing in the care of neuroendocrine cancer patients. An undergraduate of The Catholic University of America in Wash. DC., he did his graduate work at Yale University where he earned his master’s degree in Theater Management. When not running his own company, you'll find him teaching & performing magic under the stage name; "Mr. Jeffo".

I purchased 3 lessons for my 23 year old boyfriend’s birthday with Mr. Jeffo, and was very pleased and satisfied! Given my boyfriend’s age, Mr. Jeffo was mindful in tailoring lessons that were age appropriate and based around the type of magic my boyfriend is interested in learning. Mr. Jeffo provided tools, resources and the foundation to understand the building blocks of magic. He was on time for every lesson and had a clear outline of the lesson prepared, and provided all resources needed for the lesson in advance. Mr. Jeffo is a kind soul with a passion for magic and teaching, and I would definitely recommend him!

My son loves working with Jeff. I was a little concerned that taking online lessons wouldn’t have the same impact as in person. I have to say that its working out great. Jeff does a great job at relaying the mechanics of the tricks. My son has defiantly gotten way more proficient as a result of Jeff’s lessons. I highly recommend taking his course. We will continue to take his lessons in the future.
