Whether you’re learning to play guitar or piano at any age, your teacher makes all the difference. I have spent 1,000s of hrs with 100s of students and know how to turn beginners of all learning styles into experts. Past students have gone on to music schools including Berklee College of Music, Royal Academy in London, Belmont University, Peabody Conservatory, The New School, Ithica College, Musicians Institute, Towson University and others to build careers in performing, producing, recording, teaching and artist management. Music and instruments have always been a presence in my life as my father was the owner of a music store. Being a family business, my mom worked there as well which in turn meant I grew up spending all of my time around music and musicians. I hold a Bachelors degree in Music from FSU, 2005, where I concentrated on Guitar. I spent 12yrs working for a large international music education company hiring and training teachers and developing curriculum but left to be able to teach and perform exclusively. I love teaching and seeing students progress over time into real musicians capable of communicating their emotions through an instrument. I am a firm believer in Socratic teaching methods and questions are my guiding principle for students discovery of their instrument. I am a full time professional musician and instructor, performing regularly with bands Peterbuilt, J. Coursey Willis & the Stone Authors, Carpenters Son, Richie Fields, L. Rogers and others.
