Professional performer, recording artist, guitar teacher, composer with 45 years of experience. Teaching at Private, Community College and University levels. Teaching ages 6 to 80 in guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and music theory. Including preparing students (pursuing minor and major degrees) for recital performances. At Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa I prepared Music Therapy students to pass their guitar proficiently tests. At Wartburg I completed the Title IX for faculty course. At West Music in Cedar Falls, Iowa, I coached and managed bands through Weekend Warrior and Rock Steady Programs. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Music in Performance (1977) and my Master Degree in Guitar Performance (1983) from California State University Fullerton. Lifetime Community College Instructor Credential in 1983. Forty-five years of teaching include classical, folk, jazz, rock guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and music theory.
Recorded and performed on various CD projects also releasing my first original CD in 1997 from Gallery Records entitled Change of Pace. The second in 1999 a Christmas CD titled 12 Carols 6 Strings and 1 Guitar. My third CD was released in 2003 contemporary pop/jazz entitled Unexpected. In 2002 I received an honorable mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, from my Unexpected CD a song titled Winter Rains. In 2004 the Oprah Winfrey Show selected one of my songs(as background theme music) called Reflections, off a CD called True Believers, from EMI Records in Australia produced by Mars Lasar.
