I am self taught with the Lord blessing me with the ability to play when I was 8 years old. I have been teaching since 1997 after playing for 30 years in church. I teach a 3 chord approach, where if you know 3 chords you can play most songs. I believe in letting a Student decide What he likes to play and then we go from there. If a student doesn't know what songs he would like to play, then I give him some of the easiest songs to start with then introduce more after sucessfully learning the first ones. I only teach hymns. I use the " church hymnal" and try to start on the easier songs first.
