Singing with Jean R.

Hello!! My name is Jean R. and I can’t wait to meet you. I am an enthusiastic, patient, and supportive Singing teacher. I love sharing my love of music and love of singing to kids of all ages and to all adults who love music and are curious to explore their singing voices. I believe that everyone can sing because the body is built for speaking and singing, therefore it is only a matter of learning how to use our bodies for the purpose of singing. Whether you want to sing for fun or for performing, I focus your lessons on finding and strengthening your voice. I guide you in developing practices that increase awareness of the mind, body, and breath connection, that develop vocal freedom, and that promote freedom of expression. I have completed the Somatic Voicework: The LoVetri Method Levels I, II, and III, I am a certified Music Together teacher, and I am a certified Kidding Around Yoga teacher for kids. My studies and interests in Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Linklater Voice, and yoga influence and color my singing and teaching philosophy.
