My B.A. in English form Yale and twelve plus years of teaching and tutoring experience in language arts, literature, SAT verbal test preparation and college and graduate school essay writing offers focused coaching with dramatic and speedy results. I work in a highly attuned manner to help gifted, highly sensitive, as well as special needs students reach their academic and personal goals. I work with students with cultural identity issues, including transnational Asian adoptees, bi-racial and bi-cultural students, as well as those on the autism spectrum.

I found Jean to be very engaging and helpful, she was always willing to explain errors to me until I was actually able to understand what I did wrong. She not only helped me address the problems I had with the SAT, but also any anxiety behind it. Now I feel calmer and more prepared to face the SAT!
