If you are interested in taking piano, keyboard, guitar, or voice lessons, I would really like to be your instructor!!! You have the option of my traveling to your home, or you are welcome to my home studio, conveniently located in Anaheim. To tell you a little about myself, I was raised in a musical family introduced to music at a very young age. I took piano, organ, guitar, glockenspiel, and voice lessons for many years, participating in music recitals. I enjoyed singing, and with my music theory background, participated in high school musicals from freshman through senior year. I also joined the Girls Choir, Varsity Choir, Madrical or Show Choir, participated in out-of-state voice sight reading competitions, and ultimately joined the New York All State Choir. After graduating from school, I focused on teaching children how to read sheet music and play the piano and guitar within parochial schools, public elementary schools, private in-home lessons, and instructed adults for the Continuing Education Music Programs located within Rockland County, New York and Orange County, California. No need to be nervous about lessons. I will help you learn at a pace that is right for you. You will find yourself more and more interested in lessons as you reap the rewards of your efforts. I look forward to meeting you, and getting you started on your way to a lifetime of much music fulfillment! *** Lesson Details *** The goal of music education is to empower the student to experience learning as a source of personal enrichment, a vehicle for the constructive expression of human emotions, and as a unique intellectual discipline. This goal will be attained through a structured, sequential program of study: - Motivate all students to engage in the learning process designed individually through text or on-line. - An ability to establish and maintain high standards for student performance. - A demonstration of deep knowledge of the subject taught and the use of appropriate instructional strategies that promote student understanding. - An ability to plan and implement a sequence of appropriate instructional activities. - An ability to evaluate and assess student achievement and areas of improvement. - Communicate effectively with students and parents presenting goals clearly. Each student interested in expanding their knowledge and abilities in voice, piano/keyboard or guitar will be introduced to reading music and asked to practice the lesson plan each week at home. With practice, you will see your abilities grow stronger and stronger, and you will be able to play and sing along to music with ease. We will be working from lesson books specifically designed for you, and each weekly lesson will be documented in a notebook as a daily practice reference guide. Through active involvement, you will build a foundation for a lifetime of participation and enjoyment in music, and at the same time have fun while learning. Music Education will help develop self confidence, and within a very short time you will be amazed at your own abilities! *** Studio Equipment *** H.F.Miller Upright Piano - Yamaha Guitar - Electronic Tuner - Capo. *** Travel Equipment *** Yamaha Guitar - Electronic Tuner - Capo. *** Specialties *** Soft Rock, Top 40's, Country, Spiritual, Standards, Movie/Broadway/Show Tunes, Holiday Music.
