After 5 years of teaching abroad in an international school, and private music school; I am more than experienced and ready to help you achieve your music goals. I have skills in working with people with Asperger's and Autism, and other learning disabilities. Mainly I have taught children of all ages and all nationalities, some didn't even speak English! Thankfully music is a universal language understood by all and the language barrier had no merit on their progression and learning. I have had several students go on to post secondary and pursue a career in music, and the rest of my students have returned every year to continue on with their music lessons. My lessons are fun, engaging, and full of easy to grasp information, presented to the student in their way of learning, as everyone does not learn the same. I know from experience that your lessons are only as fun as the teacher is and trust me when I say my students are never bored. I could go on about my career in music and tell you my experiences playing and my achievements, but i think the more important thing here is my passion to teach music and the results that come from it. While i love teaching children (as young as age 3) I also love teaching older kids and adults, some of my 'students' have been as old as 50! and all are are surprised at the amount of progress they can make in as only as one lesson. I teach a structured class using warm up skills for strong hand development, learning music pieces using note reading and by ear, and injecting theory in a fun way that is easy to apply and grasp. I look forward to meeting you!
