    About Javier D.

Hi everyone!… I'm Javier. I have been playing the saxophone (classically) for about 10 years. I am currently in my third year of studies at the Butler School of Music (at the University of Texas at Austin) where I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. I have played in several university ensembles and have a wide scope of experience as a performer. I played in small chamber groups (including saxophone quartets), large wind ensembles and even in an orchestra. I currently study saxophone with Dr. Stephen Page and I'm a member of the UT Saxophone Studio. Along with rigorous performance training, I study in the Music and Human Learning department where I learn techniques and approaches to teaching students such as yourself! I can't wait to meet you and hope that I can help you reach your musical goals
