I am a professional singer, voice teacher, and actor. I have over ten years of classical voice training and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a Bachelor's in Theatre Performance (Musical Theatre Concentration.) I started teaching private voice in 2012 and have had the privilege to work with students of varied levels and musical genres. I am confident that with my training and experience, I can help you to strengthen your voice, release unwanted tension, and develop proper breath control and support. I understand that every voice is different and has it's own specific needs, therefore my lessons are tailored to the individual's voice, helping them to to discover the most efficient way to produce sounds that are healthy, resonant, and well-supported. Singing has been my passion from a very early age, and so I've dedicated my life to understanding the makings of a truly great voice, not just for my own personal development as a performer, but so that I can help you discover your best singing voice as well!

Javi is the perfect teacher for both rookie and veteran performers! He is patient, extremely detailed in his feedback, and can make many improvements in such a small amount of time. I particularly appreciate his strong classical background as a solid foundation for learning other styles. Even ONE lesson with Javi provides the student with extraordinary technical training. Javier has been such an amazing teacher. Before taking classes, I was completely tone deaf but really wanted to learn to sing and hit notes correctly. At first it was a struggle for me, but Javier was very patient with me, encouraging, and knew exactly how to change what I was doing wrong to get the pitch I needed correctly. He has background in opera and Broadway from what we’ve talked about. He’s very nice but is disciplined which is a great balance. I def recommend Javier, he really cares and wants you to succeed in your goals and really has helped me create the beautiful voice I wanted to get. Thank you Javier!!
