Hi! My name is Javen Smith and I can't wait to meet you. I have been studying vocal performance for over 15 years! I have been studying acting for 10 years. I have attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where I trained with Vicki Hart in the Meisner Technique. I have also attended Berklee College of Music and USC Thornton's Popular Music Program. For Voice Students I have helped students achieve technical proficiency in breath control, vowel modifications, and oral placement. I specialize in guiding students in finding an emotional connection with the material that will bring about a performance that is not just aesthetically pleasing but also engages an audience. For Acting Students I have helped students with focus and breathing as well as scene study. I take students through a scene study process that helps them to break down their character, and discover their objectives, tactics and obstacles. I love helping my students to perform their very best performance!
