Hi there! My name is Jatara, owner of United 2 Dance Company, I can't wait to meet you! For fourteen years I have trained and performed in dance. I've also been teaching dance lessons since October 2010. I love to make sure you as the student always feel safe, included, and proud of who YOU are! Strong work ethic, discipline, and consistency is a must to become great at anything you do! My teaching style is simple yet has a lot of personality, big movement, and technique; so be prepared! I also teach with a sense of humor because learning should be fun! Training first began at my home church where I learned liturgical/ praise dance. Through that experience I've learned skills in performing arts such as drama, stage presence and technique! I've also trained under numerous dance instructors such as Michele Whisler (Colony High School) 2 years, Los Osos High School (Danielle Mancuso) 2 years, Mark Haines, Jo Dierdorrf, Denise Donovan, Robyn O'Dell) 5 years Riverside Community College, and Janys Antonio Cal State San Bernardino 1 year. Gus Bembery and Dean Bais at Edge Performing Arts Los Angeles . I have an AA in Fine Arts, working towards Bachelors and Masters degree in dance. My experience in teaching dance includes but not limited to; Ballet (10yrs), Jazz (10 yrs), Hip-Hop (10yrs), African (7yrs), Bollywoord (2yrs), Modern (6yrs), Contemporary (6yrs), Liturgical (12yrs), and Lyrical (10yrs). Also entertainment industry experience in hip-hop and Jazz from Gus Bembery and Dean Bais.
