If you believe that music education should not be limited to one genre then I am the guy for you. My lessons will teach you theory, note reading, and the ability to also play by ear. You will learn and analyze classical, jazz, r&b, gospel, pop, blues and much more. Before going to collage for music I grew up playing by ear and I truly believe that a well rounded musician should know how to read and play by ear. I was a full time jazz musician for the US Army Band and I spent many years touring Europe. At one point I was holding down 3 full time gigs: A Full-time music minister, jazz pianist for a big band, and fill-in for a symphony orchestra. Mozart, Beyonce, and the Beatles all have so much more in common than you would think. No matter the category, all books are written using the same 26 letters. All music is written using only 12 notes! I will teach you to look at music in a fresh and exciting new way.
