It has always been a joy for me to be able to educate through music. In my opinion, I truly believe that everyone holds some type of music ability that is ready to be expressed in some kind of way! My journey in teaching came as a youth choir director at my church in Chicago. Being able to take moderately talented individuals from different backgrounds, and get them to achieve success through singing, playing, and songwriting gave me a tremendous since of accomplishment. After receiving my BA in music from Columbia College, I began a career that included releasing 4 independent gospel albums, touring Europe multiple times, writing/producing for other artists, and teaching over 600 students. My specialities are in songwriting, piano by ear, vocal, music theory, music production(logic/protools), and music business basics. I have over 15 years of professional experience in each of these areas.
