Clarinet with Jason M.

I graduated with my music degree (woodwind proficiency) in 2003. While in college, I studied under a teacher who was a student of Mike Guerra, widely recognized in his generation as one of the greatest technique instructors on clarinet and saxophone. After graduation, I went on to teach private lessons for two years on the high school and college level, after which I took a position at a church as music director. I taught lessons, directed choirs, and organized music performances for twelve years before moving to Washington. I'm now in my first year of specific focus on private instruction. I've learned that proper technique, sight reading, playing by ear, and listening to great artists are all critical to becoming a well-rounded musician. I would love to help you find the same love for music and the clarinet that I've found! A little about me: I've been happily married since 2003, and I have four children 12 and under. I love a large variety of music and I love the outdoors.
