- Levels Taught:
- Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I am classically trained with 25 years of experience in playing the violin. However, my performance loves include rock, jazz and improv, blues, folk and fiddle and other modern pioneering influences. My favorite violinists include Mark Wood, Charlie Bisharat, Lindsay Sterling and Boyd Tinsley, to name a few.
I have been a music teacher for over twenty years, perform at church regularly, and have performed at many levels, including a 2007 tour with string section of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra East Coast Troup.
When you take lessons with me, I will teach you the proper techniques of playing, you will begin to understand theory, and I will be sure that no matter what style you want to play, I’ll get you there with the best bag of skills to make you successful.
For those who want more out of electric violin work, I’ll be more than happy to work with you on sound shaping, effects processing and more as the violin requires a different approach than just plug and play.
I look forward to working with you!

Hey there violinist! I’m glad you found me and I look forward to sharing my vast knowledge of alternative strings with you!
Are you playing in your school orchestra but have a desire to rock out? Have you been playing for years and are stuck in a rut? Ever wonder what it’s like to put your violin through a 400 watt Quad Cab with heavy distortion? Or maybe you want to soar in the stratosphere of beautiful reverbs and delays as you make your violin sing and your listeners weep?
I would love to help you get there!
Let my experience as a teacher of twenty years, a performer (who even toured with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and a writer help you find your unique voice as a violinist, a fiddler, an improviser, a back seater or a soloist!
