If you're passionate about music and love the flute I'll be honored to have you as a student! I am available for eager students of all skill levels and ages, focusing on building a strong foundation of fundamental flute skills, paired with expressive artistry. Each student is unique, therefore they deserve a style and pace of learning that is perfectly tailored for them. This is my promise if we decide to work together. I love staying active and healthy. Some of my favorites are yoga, swimming, and loose leaf green tea. All lessons are approached from a place of health and wellness! --- A native of upstate New York, Jared Benoit Harrison began playing flute at the age of 10 after hearing jazz flutist Nestor Torres in concert. Since his beginnings in 2002, Jared has performed in numerous venues as an orchestral flutist, including Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall, Salzburg's Mozarteum and Prague's Rudolfinum. Mr. Harrison was a concerto competition winner with the Westfield, Harrisburg, and Schenectady Symphonies and has attended the Moritzburg Festival Academy in Germany and Banff Centre Festival in the Canadian Rockies. Jared was also a national Young Arts winner and received first prize in the Baltimore Music Club Competition. In addition to running a private flute studio in South Florida, Jared is completing his Masters degree in flute performance at Lynn University. He often performs as a member of the flute section in the South Florida Symphony, Palm Beach Symphony, and Florida Grand Opera.
