Violin with Janetta T.

I’m a professional violinist who plays actively with local orchestras in DFW area. I love different styles of music, as I can get inspired by different cultures every time I play. This is how I introduce my lessons to my students. I encourage brain storming, and I like to have my students being the teacher of their own instead of just listening to me. I have multiple music background from China and the United States, which allows me to absorb and convey different concepts of music to my students. As a young educator, I enjoy working with my students on their playing essentials, and we frequently communicate with their favorite music, or the way we can approach. I am also an ear training teacher who emphasizes music theory and sight-singing combined with violin learning. Students love my classes, as they have so much fun singing and working with peers, as well as learn many theoretical knowledge that school rarely teaches.
