About Janet S.

Hi, I am a certified teacher from Florida. I have certifications/endorsements in English as a Second Language, Exceptional Education, Business Education, and Reading as a component of Language Arts for struggling readers. My Master's Degree is in Cultural Psychology. I am bilingual (Spanish) at an intermediate level as I had been living and teaching in Panama since 2012. My experience is mostly with middle and high school students and adult professionals. I also opened a Language School in Panama where we provided standardized test prep in TOEFL, SAT, ACT, and all Cambridge exams. We also started a TEFL program online and I am the Ambassador for Duolingo in Panama. Prior to my teaching career I was in hospitality and tourism for 13 years and so my expertise in mostly in Business English particularly Industry Specific English. Since I am a mom and a grandmother as well as a teacher, my patience has been perfected over many years so no matter your struggle or obstacle, I am there to help you over it, under it or around it but know I will be there with your through it. I then went on to obtain my Master's degree in Cultural Psychology before I moved to Panama to teach in International Schools as in 2012.
