Hola ! My name is Jamie Weaver. I would love to meet with you and support your curiosity in learning Spanish! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Spanish. I have been living in Ecuador as a Fulbright Scholar and teacher for the past six years. I taught adults , teenagers, as well as children in a Montessori school. I use hands on learning techniques, songs, engaging texts, and art to help the student connect completely with the lesson. In my opinion, learning a language is also learning a culture. I believe learning a language opens our hearts and minds to thinking more globally and prepares us for possible travels and global awareness. Our ability to communicate in more than one language breaks culture taboos and boundaries and connect us more with those who we might not have been able to connect with previously.
