I was lucky enough to study trumpet with James this past year and found that both my knowledge and playing ability with the trumpet improved by a large margin. He was an incredibly fun person to work with, I always found myself looking forward to his lessons and never felt nervous or intimidated when playing for him. He is someone I would highly recommend as a teacher for anyone in need of some assistance with the trumpet.

I had the pleasure of being taught by James during my Sophomore year of college at the Eastman School of Music. Not only is he an insanely talented player, but he truly understands how to enjoy playing music. He constantly pushed me to my limits while also making sure I had fun doing it. I just wish I could continue working with him!
