Guitar with Jake I.

As a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, I have been playing guitar since the 4th grade. I remember taking lessons from several teachers in the beggining, however it wasn't until a certain teacher that things started to click, and all of a sudden I was inspired to become the guitar player I am today. I strive to inspire my students and make music fun, challenging and exciting for my students. Whether you are an absolute begginer with no experience holding a guitar, or an advanced student lookin to explore advanced harmonic and rhythmic concepts, I have what it takes to teach you. I have experience teaching young children teenagers and adults through various music schools. I am also a working musician and perform with several bands in the genres of R&B/Gospel, Jazz, Singer Somgwriter and Solo Guitar. I maintain a busy schedule as a performer, bandleader, and sideman however I have found teaching to be one of the most rewarding things I do musically. When a student succeeds and I see the light bulb go off in his/her head I become excited. Music is truly one of he greatest gifts in mankind and I have great joy in passing along knowledge to my students.
