Violin with Jacqueline S.

Hi, it's nice to meet you! My name is Jacqueline and I have been playing the viola and violin since I was nine years old. A string quartet came to our school one day, I heard the sound said, "That is what I want to do" and haven't stopped since! I went to music school as a scholarship student. First my bachelors degree in performance (B. Mus.), then my Masters (M.M.) and finally my doctorate (D.M.A.), picking up my credentials as a registered Suzuki teacher along the way. Additionally, my performance experience includes everything from playing with a symphony orchestra to fiddling with a Celtic band to playing in the pit orchestra for a ballet Theatre and all the way to backing musicians on the Las Vegas strip! All these experiences and styles of playing have helped me become a better teacher for all different kinds of people. My students have gone on to play with advanced orchestras and win auditions and competitions. I'd love to hear more about your interest in violin or viola and your goals for playing!
