Country Singing with Jacqueline S.

Jacqueline is an artist who discovered her love for performing in her very early years. From the time that she was able to speak, she was singing; often giving private (and typically mandatory) performances for her family in the living room. As she grew older, the fireplace was replaced by a stage, and her Barbie microphone was replaced with a real one. When she graduated high school, she decided to embark on a journey that would change her life in more ways than she thought possible. The first step on this journey was moving to California to be a part of The Young Americans College of Performing Arts. During her time there, she learned how to be a better vocalist, dancer and actor. However, she also discovered that she has an affinity for managing costumes for a production, as well as learning how to properly write, produce, and manage a show. With this group, Jacqueline had the opportunity to travel, perform, teach, and experience life and culture in wonderful ways. In 2017, she spent three months traveling from town to town in Europe; specifically the countries of Germany and Poland. Then, in 2018, she had the opportunity to be in Japan for 6 weeks as part of an advanced cast. During this time, she and the cast would work to put on workshops for students there. Some workshops would be three days in length, while others were only a day. Regardless of time, the students were given the opportunity to see performing in a new light, try some skills they might have never done before, and then put on a full performance of their own for their parents, peers, and community. After the six weeks were over, she was a part of a select cast which performed at a dinner theatre for the remainder of the summer. Each evening brought its own challenges alongside its own magic. Getting to hone her skills and make memories with cast and audience members alike were her favorite parts of this experience. Throughout her career with The Young Americans, Jacqueline was part of roughly 150 performances around the world. Jacqueline has since moved home, with hopes of pursuing a full career as a vocalist, musician, and teacher. She is currently employed as a private voice and piano instructor and events coordinator at Blue Tree Music Education, she is a primary member of the band Thunder Rose, and is wig stylist for The Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. In addition, Jacqueline is an active vocalist for a wide variety of events around the state. Her goal is to educate the next generation of performing artists so they feel empowered to chase their own dreams no matter how big or small.
