    About Jacqueline K.

Hello! I am a multimedia artist with a heavy background in classical music. I received two bachelors degrees from Northwestern University--one in Vocal Performance and one in Global History. I believe art is interdisciplinary, open-ended, and always changing. It's not art if you have a limited scope of what it's "supposed" to be. When I am not singing, I am sketching, writing short stories, reading (poetry, history, fiction), or watching anime, comedy or horror movies on Netflix. Formally, my stage credits include Princess Shulamit in Elijah’s Violin (Kol Meira Productions); Ernesto in Billy Goat’s Gruff (Seagle Music Colony); The Tango Singer in The Great Gatsby (Seagle Music Colony); Didymus in Theodora (Northwestern University); Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro (Notre Dame De Namur University) and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel (understudy, NDNU). My training credits include Opernfest Prague (2019), Houston Grand Opera Young Artist Vocal Academy (2019), Seagle Music Colony (2018), and Songfest (2015). I have appeared as a guest soloist with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra (2015) and am a regular recitalist in both the San Francisco Bay Area and the Chicagoland Area. I've sung with three-time Grammy Award-winning contemporary choral ensemble The Crossing and performed in countless premieres. Highlights include leading 25,000 performers in the Midwest premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang's piece "Crowd Out".
