Our experience with Take Lessons and more importantly with Jacob the instructor have been very good so far. My 9 year old son is just starting saxophone and based on the two lessons he had with Jacob, they appear to get along well. Jacob appears to be very patient with my young inexperienced saxophone player.

My son was able to play a few notes the first lesson and played Hot Cross Buns the second lesson. Apparently, playing anything that early in training is unusual. So we are very pleased and hope to see the progress continue.

My teenager has had lessons with Jacob for 3 years, first guitar, then piano. He has a great personality and is a very encouraging teacher. She never once wanted to quit and never complained about going to the lessons, even with an otherwise very busy schedule, which is a testament to him and his teaching. He is a very dedicated and talented musician, and was always willing to work with whatever songs she wanted to learn. I would highly recommend him for any age kid or adult.

On Pitch

I am a Deacon in the Catholic church and I am over 70 years old. At my church, my pastor expects me to sing at the Easter services. I am known for not being able to sing anywhere near on any key. I would sing in the key of "R". Last year I took all three choirs off key for their responses. In addition, my past efforts, included taking a person playing a guitar off key. Jacob evaluated me and said that I had the capability to sing on pitch. So I began the lessions 2 months ago. I was very pleased with my resluts this Easter. Many people noticed a great improvement in my singing and the choirs were able to respond on key!! I have a great deal more confidence in my singing capabilities. I can testify that Jacob did get me to sing on pitch with excelent results. Thank you Jacob and I will continue with the lessons improving on my capability for next Easter.

WOW! Let me say that again! WOW! In fact, let me sing that joyfully! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! (with a falsetto) :) Jacob is not only one of the greatest teachers, but was very professional and pleasing to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone and it's a shame that there's only five stars to rate him, for he deserves thousands. I've been taking piano and voice lessons from Jacob R. I found Jacob to be very knowledgeable, professional, patient, and encouraging.
We like his studio too. My five-year-old especially fond of the big tankful of colorful fish and the three hairless cats.

Excellent Teacher

My girls enjoy their time with Jacob. He makes learning music (piano and voice) fun and interesting. They are progressing nicely and I feel that I am getting my monies worth. His home studio is very is in a wonderful location and is very conducive to learning music.He is an extremely well trained musician and an exceptionally good teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a music teacher.
