Jacob is a terrific drum instructor. My nine-year old loves learning from him. Jacob is passionate about music and it shows in his teaching. He has great methods to motivate my son to practice. Jacob is reliable and organized. We are glad we found him! Now we're all rocking out to "The Immigrant Song." Yeah!

Jacob has been a part of one of the musical projects I deem most important. We have recorded albums, and toured across the country together. His sense of time is a true gift, and his enthusiasm for drumming is a joy to be around. I learn new ways of organizing rhythm within various meters which I had never conceived on my own. He is an extremely insightful composer and arranger as well, and in general a brilliant human being. I strongly recommend Jacob to students at any level.

Jacob has been an awesome teacher for my teenage daughter, Quinn - who started very much from scratch with the drums. He is super patient, and brings an enthusiasm and clear love for music that is contagious and inspiring. He was able to weave in a lot of basic music foundation for her, and helped her progress at a pace that was appropriately challenging without being intimidating or discouraging. He helped her learn the fundamentals, but also let her apply them as patterns to songs and styles that interested her. If he wasn't moving away for school, we would love to continue with him, he's been a wonderful teacher. We'd recommend him in a heartbeat.
