English (ESL) with Jacob B.

Although I am TEFL/TESOL certified and this will help me greatly in teaching you the mechanics of the language, I believe my most valuable contribution to the teaching table will be my life experience. I have spent time all over the world in rural and urban areas and have interacted with people from almost everywhere. In all of these scenarios, English has played a role, and I have learned quite a lot about how it is used and learned by different types of personalities and cultures. My University education in Business and Anthropology has helped me to be aware of how language is utilized by different markets, cultures, and in human interactions of all kinds. In every situation I find myself in, I am either using English or teaching it. I have learned through hands-on experience that each individual will need to tackle the language in a way that makes sense to them. Of course I will meet your situation with an open mind, but I hope that my prior knowledge can help us figure out the best method for you as quickly as we can. Overall, I will strive to bring a positive attitude and a patient personality to all my lessons.
