Songwriting with Jaclyn Y.

Music has always been a huge passion of mine, especially when it comes to writing songs and singing around the community. I'm from LA and new to Cincinnati, but I am excited to spread my love for music here and teach students who have an interest in learning how to sing! My most rewarding experience in my time at UCLA was being a part of YOUTHphonics a cappella, a youth-oriented community service group dedicated to teaching an after-school music program at Fairfax High School, whose students lost their choir program in the 2007-2008 recession. These students went from never having read a single piece of music to performing full a cappella arrangements at our end-of-the-year concert at UCLA for hundreds of people. Words cannot describe how proud and fulfilled I felt knowing that my group had made such a positive impact in their lives. I want to continue to teach those who are excited and ready to learn!
