Guitar with Jackson C.

My name is Jackson Catton. I am a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter living and working in Minneapolis, MN. I have been playing, performing, writing and recording music for over 13 years. In those years I have performed on hundreds of occasions, touring extensively across the United States and Canada with my bands since I was 15 years old. I've recorded several albums, played in worship bands, orchestra pits, solo gigs, classical guitar quartets, jazz combos, large ensembles, and more. I have been teaching since April of 2018. While I teach most musical styles, I specialize in rock, folk, pop, blues and metal. I place emphasis on a technique- and theory-based approach that serves to further the students' expression and understanding of music. I believe that the reason any of us take guitar lessons is to become closer to the music we love, and to make music we love ourselves! My job is to give you the tools to do just that.
