Trumpet with Jack W.

Dr. Jack W. was recently the musical director of the Miami Arts Charter School in Homestead, Florida and earned his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Miami Frost School of music in Studio and Jazz Trumpet Performance. Jack is currently a Nashville recording artist, and teaches brass and jazz vocals in the Nashville area. He has recorded 35 albums and performed with Cheap Trick, Estelle, Take 6, Barry Manilow, Naples Philharmonic, Sarasota Pops, Hugh Jackman, Gloria Estefan, Freddie Hubbard, and many more. He was the lead trumpet, soloist and clinician with the Army’s premier touring big band, The US Army Jazz Ambassadors, touring 49 states and toured over 40 countries with numerous groups, playing well over 2000 concerts, hundreds of high school and college clinics, and appearances with 9 major symphonies including Baltimore Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, and the Boston Pops. Jack received his M.M. at the University of and a B.A. at Elmhurst College.
