During my school years, I earned a living by teaching Spanish to classmates and eventually co workers! 
I did a lot of translation during my career as well and thought a couple of attorneys Spanish lessons so they were able to communicate better with their clients who spoke only Spanish!

Spanish Tutor

My lessons are unique because I make learning fun and effective. I must use a lot of back and forth conversations to make my student first loose the fear to speak and to feel comfortable speaking the language. Then, I implement more grammar to achieve success!

I was born and raised in Peru. Spanish is my first language and I have been teaching during my college years. I have earned my Maters Degree last August 2018. With a background in child psychology, I have the skills to teach children with special needs. 

I have seen progress in my students immediately. At the beginning I focus on making my student feel comfortable with the language and believe that they can learn fast.

With dedication and patience I have the capacity to teach children as well as adults. You won' t regret to have me as a Spanish Tutor!

Being a student of Ivonne’s, I am very grateful for her because she was an amazing tutor, who really helped me learn Spanish. Learning any language is hard but having a great tutor really makes it worth it. I think Ivonne Scaglione really did a great job helping me understand Spanish on another level. She is very dedicated to her work and is very patient which is very necessary to master a new language. She is always prepared with her lecture and throughly goes through it and makes a safe environment to ask questions, if I do not understand something. When I learned grammar it really was a big effort to stress the importance of a certain word. However with Ivonne’s patience and great clarification I was able to catch onto it very quickly. I think also having a kind hearted face teaching you a subject is very important for your confidence and that is exactly who Ivonne is.  I can clearly say that Ivonne is a great tutor and I would recommend her to anyone was is struggling with Spanish.

Ivonne is such great teacher. She is patient, caring and knowledgeable.
She was able to guide me through the material and challenge me to do more. She has a great curriculum and I would love to take her again.
