I have been tutoring for 2 years, both as a private tutor and a teacher’s assistant. I have taught a variety of subjects but primarily specialize in biology, neuroscience, chemistry, and math. With my help, many of my students have improved their test scores considerably in these subjects. I graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in neurobiology and afterwards I worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Altogether, I have 5.5 years’ experience working in cellular/molecular neuroscience labs so I bring a deep understanding of many biology and chemistry concepts with real world applications.
I accept students of all ages, having tutored for college level students as well as elementary school students. I approach teaching by assessing my student’s strengths and weaknesses, followed by addressing confusions to until he/she is confident in the material.
I love science and math and hope to bring my enjoyment and confidence to you! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. :)
I studied the effects of potential therapeutic drugs in a mouse model of autism.
I conducted autism research at the NIH as a Postbac Research Fellow
I studied the effects of early life nicotine exposure on memory and synaptic plasticity.
He is like my MCAT personal trainer! Always has great advice on how to study, which resources to use, how to schedule my study sessions. Highly recommend!
