Cell Biology with Ivan T.

I have been tutoring for 2 years, both as a private tutor and a teacher’s assistant. I have taught a variety of subjects but primarily specialize in MCAT prep, biology, neuroscience, chemistry, and math. With my help, many of my students have improved their test scores considerably in these subjects. I graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in neurobiology and afterwards I worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Altogether, I have 5.5 years’ experience working in cellular/molecular neuroscience labs so I bring a deep understanding of many biology and chemistry concepts with real world applications. I accept students of all ages, having tutored for college level students as well as elementary school students. I approach teaching by assessing my student’s strengths and weaknesses, followed by addressing confusions to until he/she is confident in the material.
