Learn Classical Piano from an instructor with 20+ years of experience

I have experience teaching students of all ages and was formerly a keyboard instructor at NYU where I taught keyboard skills classes and private lessons. I'm also well-versed in the Taubman Approach--a biomechanically sound approach to piano technique that allows pianists to play with ease and free of tension and pain. My ultimate goal as a piano teacher is to teach my students how to learn, practice, and express music effectively in a welcoming and collaborative lesson environment. I believe that regardless of age students learn best when they actively engage in their learning through discovery, problem-solving, and creativity. Beyond just introducing and discovering new musical concepts, I guide students on how to practice during their lesson by showing them how to approach new music and how to organize their practice time for the most efficient results. And most importantly, I make sure that students are developing healthy physical habits at the piano so that they can have a lifetime of piano playing.

    About Isidora V.

I've been studying classical piano for over 20 years and have my Bachelor's and Master's in Piano Performance from NYU. As a solo and collaborative musician I've performed classical and avant-garde music at the Gijon International Piano Festival in Spain, Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance at Mannes, and International Keyboard Institute and Festival at Hunter College. I've taught piano to students of all ages in both a group and one-on-one setting in the New York City area. I was formerly a piano instructor at NYU where I taught keyboard skills classes to non-performance majors and private lessons to non-majors. I'm also knowledgeable of the Taubman Approach--an biomechanically sound approach to piano playing that allows pianists to play with ease and control and free of any tension and pain.
