Learn to Speak French with a Native French Citizen & Indulge in French Culture. Check my reviews!

Bonjour! I was born and raised in France. Several of my students have learnt and practiced French with me for 9+ years. I focus on your very needs, either using your methodology, or any other. I can recommend at least one 45 to 60-minute lesson per week; or two 30-minute lessons per week. I suggest websites and books. I provide complementary support to Rosetta Stone and various foreign language learning apps such as Babbel or Duolingo. Above and beyond the regular class interactions, if you wish, I am available for texting to provide even more conversational French opportunities. Just like in the real world. That is of course free. The idea is to make you comfortable with simple expressions. Students love that!

About Isabelle S.

I am a native French speaker born in France; I have lived in the USA since 2000 and speak English fluently. I teach both French and English as a Second Language (ESL). I am used to teaching/ coaching/ interacting with students of all ages (12-80+) and with professionals in a corporate environment. In fact I have worked in-countries and remotely with people located in France, Poland, India, Canada, Guatemala, Brazil etc. I speak some Spanish and German, and that might help you as well, depending on your background. I am happy to add a cultural dimension to the language support. For Life Coaching lessons, I draw from my experience and best practices. I will share simple yet highly effective tips and approaches to help you meet your needs. Most of my students have become friends and we always look forward to our upcoming sessions. I always adapt my sessions to the centers of interest of my students. Those sessions are really fun! For best results; I recommend a minimum of 2 (two) 45-minute sessions per week for the first 20 lessons to gain some momentum and build strong foundations. I look for students sincerely interested in making great strides and committed. Some of my students have taken lessons with me for more than 8 years! Learning a language is like going to the gym; you need a coach that will guide you and pave the way for your success. Happy to start any time soon. THX for visiting my profile. Questions welcome! Isabelle

I look forward to every session with Isabelle. Learning a new language can be a vulnerable thing: you feel awkward and uncertain, you make mistakes, and you wonder if you're making progress at all. But Isabelle has such a warm and friendly approach that you never feel bad about those stumbles; instead you feel like you have a kind mentor who is helping you improve and rooting for you along the way. Even better: she takes the time to understand your specific goal and tailors the lessons to achieve it. For me, for example, I wanted to improve my comfort with speaking before an upcoming trip, and each session feels like catching up with a friend. No vocabulary memorization or grammar exercises in sight, though I can feel myself improving in those areas as we go. If you're thinking about improving your French, I highly encourage you to consider working with Isabelle.

I have been providing private lessons one-on-one and to small groups (up to 3) in French and English as Second Language. I have been enjoying every single lesson and so have my students. Actually my students have become best friends! The key being that I adapt totally to their needs. My greatest reward is to see their immense progress. My Life Coaching practice is rooted in my broad experience as wife, mother of 2 very successful children and senior executive in the corporate world. I have had the opportunity to work with people of all ages and cultures in the USA and abroad. I can't wait to share my experience to help you meet your goals.
