After taking lessons with Isabelle, my son feels more comfortable with violin. She is delightful and kind, yet meticulous in her teaching. With her guidance, Justin finds his orchestra sessions much more enjoyable. I highly recommend her.

After several weeks of lessons, my son, who is a beginner, has learned so much and can actually play melodies. Isabelle has been excellent at guiding him through proper technique and establishing a good foundation. I also appreciate her positive attitude which encourages my son want to practice and improve.

Isabelle quickly diagnosed my problem areas. She knew exactly which exercises would solve which problems. Very clear and focused teacher.

I am a senior citizen, who began violin lessons 5 years ago with Adult Program in Conservatory. Due to Covid-19 situation, I have been having online lessons with Isabelle since. I really appreciate her method of teaching violin. She has knowledge of body dynamics and has been able to help me understand my body in space. With practice and adjustments, I am noticing a difference.

Isabelle was our violin teacher for our two children, ages 8 and 14. We found her to be an extremely talented, knowledgeable, and patient teacher. She is an experienced teacher and focuses on proper form while making the lessons enjoyable. Isabelle tailors the lessons according to the needs and age of the student. We have nothing but high praise for her and would not hesitate to recommend her as a violin teacher for you or your children!

Playing in a local orchestra for amateur is my hobby. Most of the repertoire we play in my orchestra are quite challenging. I need help to tackle the technical passages, therefore, my former teacher recommends me to come to Isabelle.
Isabelle is a result-oriented teacher, which is perfect for me. Understanding that I only have a certain amount of time left for violin after work, she always finds a way to solve my problems. She shows me how to practice efficiently, so I am able to play the difficult stuffs. After a couple of lessons, I enjoy playing violin more and more. Instead of worrying about not being able to catch up with other players in the violin section, I now also can play! I start to enjoy because I can. I can thus I enjoy more. It's a virtuous cycle! Thanks to Isabelle!

I had opportunity to take a few lessons with Ms. Shen and attended her workshops on orchestra audition preparation. At the time I lacked self-confidence and encouragement. Soon after couple of lessons, I started believing in myself, and my playing became solid through the knowledge I learned from her lessons. She showed me how to advance my violin playing step by step, and how to present myself under the pressure. She is an awesome violinist and a dedicated teacher, who supports and helps.

Ms. S is an energetic teacher who's willing to pass on her talent unreservedly. She emphasizes on details and musical phrases. With her help, not only my violin technique was greatly improved, my confidence in playing was also increased. As a college student majors in violin, I've been learning violin for many years with many different professional teachers, and she was the most inspiring teacher I've met. To describe my lessons with her: she is like both a teacher and a friend, who’d listen to your needs and your playing attentively. Every lesson was full of laughter yet beneficial. If you want to refine your technique, and bring your music to the next level, she is the one!

Ms. Shen is a helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive instructor. Through my time studying with her, she has given me insightful practicing habits and tips on how to play with more confidence. Violin is a difficult instrument to learn and master, but Ms. Shen has been able to make the learning experience enjoyable.
