I am Berklee College of Music graduate that studied Contemporary Writing & Production - a skill set that has led me to both play/record and write music for the drums, a variety of percussion, piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, trombone, euphonium, and voice. I currently live in Brooklyn, NY as a professional freelance composer and an active performer with my band.

Having had the opportunity to teach students of a wide range of ages (4-50 y/o), I've seen that everyone learns differently and at their own pace. My goal for each lesson is to hone in on the student's interests and base lesson material off of the music that they want to learn - be it classical, rock, or even video game music! I want there to be application for every thing taught in my lesson, and for the student to be able to relate one musical concept to another.

I want all of my students to be able to have the feeling of playing music with another person, and at some point in my lessons I like to jam with my students! It's essential that my students understand that what they're learning, be it a song, or a scale, or and idea in music theory will have some sort of application involving another musician. This sort of communication is what keeps music fascinating to me!

I am available to teach any of the instruments mentioned as well as any music theory, writing, or production lessons as well. I hope I can help you meet your musical goals!

Isaac really catered to my needs in our one on one lessons. I went from barely knowing how to hold my sticks, to having a firm grasp on the difference between matched and traditional grip. His command of styles is astounding! Regardless of the genre, Isaac always had a firm grasp on what to play. We leaned jazz songs, rock songs, and blues primarily, but when I looked up his band Oh Malo, I was surprised to see him playing very fluently in an experimental/avant-garde setting!

Isaac always broke down material in an intuitive manner, and found a way to incorporate the fundamentals into whatever material we were working on. I highly recommend him as a teacher!

Isaac is my favorite producer! He has taught me so much about audio engineering and arranging. This past year Isaac produced and arranged my band Visen's debut album. He also wrote the interlude for our record. I couldn't be happier with the work he put into the album. However, beyond being an incredible producer and composer, Isaac is an amazing teacher. He is as patient as he is knowledgable, and he taught me how to concisely record and mix my own vocals.
