I attained my first Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and subsequently my first Master’s degree in History of Art, from the University of Crete, Greece. I then decided to pursue a second Masters degree in Museology (Museum Studies) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. More recently I tagged on a second Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the Open University, United Kingdom. In short, I have accumulated a plethora of degrees and have completely imbued myself in the world of education, always passionate about what I am studying and even keener to impart my knowledge to eager learners.
Over the years, I have worked and garnered much experience as an art historian in several parts of Europe (Greece, Italy, France and United Kingdom) and the United States. Concurrently, I have tutored Art History (AP Art History and A level) and Greek (both Modern and Ancient) to high school and college students. In addition, I have over ten years of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language (ESL) to adult learners and preparing learners of language standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT as well as standard English language examinations such as TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge examinations. Utilizing my mélange of academic knowledge and experience, I have consistently managed to bring out the full potential of students from all over the world, enabling them to achieve excellent results in their respective examinations.
I am very familiar with the ACT and SAT tests as I have accumulated many hours both online and offline, tutoring students who are preparing for undergraduate degrees in both the US and in Europe. My academic background lends itself perfectly to the tutoring of the History of Art, which I am very well versed in and passionate about. I am equally fluent in Greek and English and so extremely comfortable preparing students for GCE A-level Greek (Modern & Ancient).
Ever since I can recall myself, I have had a very strong inclination to academia and the aspiration of imparting my knowledge, my enthusiasm, and my passion to others who want to not only achieve great results but also embark on the wondrous adventure of discovering the wonders of art and language. I relish the opportunity to tutor individuals who want to strive toward those goals. I look forward to working with you soon.
I have over ten years of experience helping and guiding students to reach their personal, academic, and professional, goals in these subjects; Art History, English, and Greek (both Ancient and Modern)!
