Emily began singing at 4 years old and picked up her first guitar at 12. At 16 she started playing local venues around town. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston from 2008-2012, one of the top contemporary music schools in the world. She has a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production, professionalizing her music transcription and recording skills. In 2008 Emily began teaching her first guitar and voice lessons at Belvoir Terrace, a performing arts camp for girls in Western Massachusetts. It was there that she fell in love with teaching and has since picked up several private voice and guitar students. As a teacher, Emily strives to help her students find their musical passion and keep it alive through fun and informative exercises. She also loves to work with songwriters, teaching them how to brainstorm ideas, play with rhyme, and get over “writers block.” She teaches some students how to use recording equipment to make their own demos or record other bands.+ Read More
My daughter loved her lesson. In fact she asked if we could go again today 😊
First lesson was great. Since I am an intermediate guitarist she is taking the time to assess where my skills are at which is exactly what she should do. She already taught me some stuff that made an immediate improvement.
My son is really enjoying working with Emily!!!
