I'm classically trained and experienced as a touring and studio guitarist in metal, rock, blues, indie, hiphop, and pop acts since 2011. I can teach you music theory, proper finger placement techniques, arpeggios, scales, chords, finger picking, sight reading, finger strengthening exercises, and palm muting techniques.

I have techniques that can make you faster and more precise.

-How to zip through chord changes, arpeggios, and scales with proper technique. 
-How to "saw" (rapid picking). 
-Finger tapping techniques.

Hey, I'm Ike. Here are a few things about me:

-Born and raised in Hollywood CA. 

-Classically trained to play piano since the age of 7. 

-I've been a studio and touring guitarist since 2011. 

-By trade, I am a audio engineer. i've recorded, mixed, collaborated, and worked for artists such as DMX, Macy Gray, Dj Quik, Diplo, Kiss, Misfits, Baby Metal and many more. 

-Most of my days are spent in my home studio where I produce music.

Ike is truly the most patient and skilled music teacher I've had. He will make sure you accomplish your goals while falling in love with your instrument and having a great time. His calming nature helped to quiet my anxiety around instruments, and reach a potential I didn't know I had in me. He truly wanted me to succeed, and he will want the same for you. I came on Take Lessons to find a different teacher while he was touring (playing metal guitar) in China.
