If you're interested in piano music, I can help! I teach a wide range of skill levels and ages. I give just as much focus and care to the beginner as to those who are further along in their musical journeys. My teaching methods involve the use of structured lesson and theory curriculum, along with my custom additions tailor-fit for each student and their immediate needs. I can teach you to read at sight, learn by ear, coordinate the hands and fingers, and provide you with the skills needed to learn any kind of music on your own. I specialize in teaching Classical, Jazz, Composition, Songwriting, Improvisation, Hip-Hop, and Music Theory. I'm a professional pianist, accompanist, composer/arranger, instructor and piano technician based in the Rogue Valley region in southern Oregon. I make my living working full-time in the field of music. Currently, I work as an accompanist for the American Eurythmy School, the Rogue Valley Chorale's Cantare Choir, and for the First United Methodist Church in Ashland. I perform jazz in small groups and with the Timberline Express Big Band from Medford, OR. I teach piano part-time from my lesson studios in Medford and Ashland as well as in-home lessons. I also tune pianos. As a composer, I've written music for small jazz ensembles, saxophone quartet, SATB choir, solo piano, and instrumental hip-hop. My musical interests have no limits, and I believe that every genre of music has something to offer. Classical, Jazz, Composition and Improvisation are some of my teaching specialties. My lesson studios are open locally to all ages and skill levels, and I offer private online lessons from my professional home studio.
